Nestled in the historic town of White Owl, South Dakota, White Owl Creek Boutique is more than a place to shop — it's a gathering place woven from generations of ranch life, family tradition, and a deep love for the western way of life.

The Ranch & The Creek

Our story begins in 1897, when an Irish immigrant family put down roots and established what would become our family ranch. The creek that winds through that land — White Owl Creek — gave our boutique its name and its spirit. It's a reminder of where we come from and what we stand for: hard work, authenticity, and a connection to the land.

A Building with History

Our current home is a piece of living history. The building that houses White Owl Creek Boutique dates back to 1893 — one of the oldest structures in the region. We've lovingly restored it to honor its heritage while creating a warm, welcoming space for our customers. When you walk through our doors, you're stepping into more than a boutique; you're stepping into a story over a century in the making.

From Salon to Boutique

Owner Ann Shaw has been serving this community for decades. In 2002, she opened Ann's Hair and Nails, building relationships and trust with the people of White Owl and beyond. In 2011, inspired by her love of western style and her customers' desire for quality apparel, Ann expanded into a full boutique. By 2015, the brand was reborn as White Owl Creek Boutique, and in 2020, the shop moved to its current historic location — a perfect home for a brand with deep roots.

The Family Behind the Boutique

White Owl Creek Boutique is a true family affair. Ann and her husband Les run the boutique together, with their daughters Katie and Kylie as part of the heart and soul of everything we do. When you shop with us, you're not just a customer — you're part of our extended family.
